A long standing global deal with KE sees Babel and Embark installed in over 75 airports for the Korean flag carrier
A successful install of Damarel’s Babel CLF and Embark automated boarding solution at the new Incheon International Airport in 2001 was the start of a long-standing relationship with Korea’s flag carrying airline.
With the benefits for passenger check-in and boarding proven, Korean Air embarked on an ambitious global rollout program. The rollout encompassed all stations in the KE route network that use the KE DCS for passenger handling, standardising their on-site IT requirements and training. There are now 82 airports now online, including 20 in China where international airline travel has expanded dramatically in recent years, the Babel and Embark solution continue to prove their worth around the clock.
Common Use (CUTE/CUPPS) platforms in operation at these airports include SITA, ARINC, RESA, Ultra and Travelsky with Babel and Embark certified for use on each one. KE can therefore use the same applications at every point they operate without needing to worry about who supplies the common use platform.
