ANA are the largest airline in Japan, and their extremely busy operation at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport caters to around 80 flights per day. ANA wanted to take precautions in preventing such a scenario from affecting their customers.

Damarel offered an intelligent solution, in the form of the latest evolution to our Local DCS product (L-DCS), which includes an innovative backup system that provides for real-time transfer of passenger and flight information between ANA’s own DCS and Damarel’s L-DCS, ensuring the two are constantly in step. This synchronisation allows for continued checking-in and boarding of passengers during the most severe outages like communications equipment failures, disrupted host lines or even emergency system maintenance.

In the event of a main DCS failure, ANA can switch systems seamlessly, relying on Damarel’s L-DCS to take over, allowing ANA to provide a continuation of services as well as on-time performance.
