Damarel’s support department provides a wide variety of services ranging from initial system installation right through to a 24-hour Helpdesk. The support team is always looking for ways to deliver an even better service, and their latest innovation has been the installation of the 'Solarwinds' remote monitoring tool.

Solarwinds is a clever piece of software that provides real time visibility into the health of network devices, and enables Damarel to monitor a variety of installed equipment and software, including application servers, customer databases and Damarel deployed applications.

ImageBy providing the support team with up to date data, they are able to be proactive in preventing issues before they affect our customers – and sometimes before they even notice.  We are also able to store and refer to all data captured to look for trends or potential issues.

By using Solarwinds as a powerful monitoring tool, it ensures we have the information needed to keep our systems running at peak performance. We can monitor any SNMP enabled device using the appropriate 'always up' VPN tunnel, and react far more quickly to any changes. With both email and SMS text alerts, the support team is always in touch with what is happening.  

Along with the software, we have also installed a large wall mounted monitoring screen displaying the live status of monitored installations, giving the support department instant visibility on any issues that arise.
