Virgin Atlantic Takes to the Skies With Babel PDF Print E-mail
Virgin Atlantic Airways take to the skies with a new Babel Terminal Emulator from Damarel, featuring support for multiple vendor CUTE platforms and devices.

Damarel are pleased to announce that they have been selected to supply Babel to Virgin Atlantic for their next generation of Terminal Emulator.

Featuring cross-platform support for the most popular Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) platforms, such as ARINC MUSE™ and SITA CUTE, along with the airline’s own dedicated equipment, Babel will be rolled out across the world to all of Virgin Atlantic’s locations.

Keeping pace with changing security requirements and technology is a vital part of any IT strategy, and Babel will provide Virgin Atlantic with built-in support for:

  • ATB2 and bag tag devices
  • MSR/OCR readers
  • Bar Code Scanners
  • Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS)
  • Advanced Passenger Profiling (APP)

Babel is built on Damarel’s many years of experience in the development of class-leading solutions for airports, and is an extremely popular, field proven product, which currently supports over 25 different airlines at airports around the world.

Available as a standard terminal emulator, it is also used as the basis for the Babel CLF airline Common Language Facility.
