Damarel release Babel Mini-MATIP Gateway for end-to-end TCP/IP connectivity. MATIP - Mapping of Airline Traffic over Internet Protocol - allows the industry to take advantage of modern communications infrastructure and lower-cost TCP/IP networking, and is quickly becoming the standard for new host connections. As part of the Babel suite of Emulators, Damarel has now released the Mini-MATIP Gateway, a software service that acts as a ‘virtual gateway’, managing the upline MATIP protocol and acting as a concentrator – allowing pooling and resource sharing for ASCUs that is otherwise missing from the protocol. By handling all the host addressing, the Damarel Mini-MATIP gateway removes the need to have proprietary and often expensive Legacy Gateways, replacing them with a location independent service available to MATIP clients. Whether installed on-site in the CUTE core room, remotely in the Damarel Data Centre or even in the airlines own IT department, the Mini-MATIP Gateway provides a secure, reliable method of easily implementing MATIP. Benefits include: • Allows the use of modern communication networks The Mini-MATIP gateway is a proven solution, already in use by major international airlines.
