Passengers travelling on the major charter carriers from Manchester can now check themselves in on Self Check-in kiosks recently purchased by the airport, eliminating the need to queue for check-in.
Passengers travelling on the major charter carriers from Manchester can now check themselves in on Self Check-in kiosks recently purchased by the airport, eliminating the need to queue for check-in. The L-DCS CUSS kiosk solution, developed by Damarel in partnership with ARINC, takes care of seat allocation and check-in for individuals and groups, assigning seats and issuing boarding passes for the passengers. Passengers are then free to proceed directly to the gate or to a bag drop if they have bags to check-in. In the first few weeks of operation, the kiosks have proved to be extremely popular, handling over 20% of the passengers for some airlines, with the numbers expected to grow rapidly.
