Aviance Data Centre Goes Live PDF Print E-mail
The versatility of Damarel's leading-edge products, L-DCS and FiNDnet, has been demonstrated by their deployment on a centralised data facility for one of the UK's leading handling agents.

Minimising hardware costs whilst maximising access to class leading passenger handling applications is a challenge facing all companies. Aviance, one of the UK's leading handling agents, has addressed this issue by establishing a new Data Centre. The facility provides access to L-DCS and FiNDnet across the corporate WAN, without the need to install additional hardware at each station.

The centralised facility uses a core set of database and Web server equipment which is protected by a complete array of built-in backup measures.

By supporting connectivity options ranging from Direct IP to Citrix, the Data Centre allows Aviance personnel to connect to Damarel's leading edge products:

  • L-DCS, the advanced Local Departure Control System,
  • FiNDnet, the Web based Flight Information and Display System, and
  • CCS and Focus, the handling agent designed charge capture and billing systems,

from any location installed with technology as simple as a Web browser.
